A midwife is a trained healthcare professional who provides care during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Midwives specialize in low-risk, physiologic birth and offer a relationship-centered, holistic model of care.
For healthy, low-risk pregnancies, research shows planned home birth with a qualified midwife is a safe option with lower rates of intervention. We screen carefully throughout pregnancy and maintain a clear hospital transfer plan.
We bring a professional birth pool to your home and walk you through setup. You can labor in the water, give birth in the water, or simply use it for comfort — whatever feels best in the moment.
It means the same midwife provides your prenatal care, attends your birth, and visits you postpartum. You won’t meet your provider for the first time in labor — you’ll already know each other.
First visits run about 90 minutes; routine prenatals are typically an hour. We never rush — your visits are protected time to be heard.
We accept payment plans and can provide documentation for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. We’ll walk you through your specific situation during your free consultation.
Transfers are uncommon but always possible. We carry monitoring equipment, maintain relationships with local hospitals, and accompany you if a transfer becomes necessary.
We are on-call 24/7 from 37 weeks until 42 weeks. You can call or text anytime — day or night.
